Carol Lofquist

Carol Lofquist, owner of TLC Dog Training, is a professional dog trainer with more than 25 years of experience helping dogs and their people succeed together. Based in Tomahawk, Carol is known throughout the Northwoods for her positive, practical training approach and her ability to resolve challenging behavior issues.

Carol has trained more than 8,000 dogs representing over 250 breeds. Families often turn to her for help with new puppies, adopted rescue dogs, and dogs struggling with behavioral challenges.

Rescue dogs hold a special place in Carol’s heart. Her goal is simple but powerful:  to help dogs and their families build the understanding and skills needed so no dog is returned to a shelter because of behavior issues. She is especially known for working successfully with dogs that others consider “tough cases.”

Carol’s path into dog training began after hearing a radio interview with an animal behavior specialist from the University of Wisconsin. That conversation sparked a lifelong interest in canine behavior and led to a mentorship that encouraged Carol to study animal behavior, a field she continues to explore and learn from today.

Through decades of hands on experience and thousands of successful training relationships, Carol has become a trusted resource for Northwoods dog owners who want a calmer, happier life with their dogs.
