Your Northwoods "Paw-sitive" Dog Trainer TLC Dog Training
I offer paw-sitive, practical dog training for families across the Northwoods of Wisconsin. My goal is to help owners understand their dogs and build skills that lead to better behavior at home and in everyday life.
I work with puppies, rescue dogs and adult dogs, helping owners address common challenges while building a strong foundation of trust and communication. In addition to private lessons, I enjoy teaching the canine sport of Agility and offer classes for a variety of experience levels.
Class offerings and schedules change throughout the year, so please check back here or visit my Facebook page for the latest updates.

"Paw-sitive" Dog Training
“Paw-sitive” training focuses on building a trusting and respectful relationship between you and your dog. Rather than relying on punishment, this approach teaches dogs what to do by rewarding behaviors we want to see more often.
I use encouragement, treats, praise and clear communication to help dogs learn in a way that is both effective and enjoyable. Dogs quickly begin to understand which behaviors earn rewards, making training easier for both the dog and you.
For example, when teaching a puppy to sit, the puppy is rewarded the moment they naturally sit. Over time, the puppy learns that sitting leads to praise and treats, and the behavior becomes reliable.
This positive approach helps dogs gain confidence, strengthens the bond between you and your dog, and creates lasting results that work in everyday life.

Different BreedsPrivate Lessons
With over 25 years of helping busy Northwoods families train their dogs, I know every pup learns a little differently. That’s why private lessons are so valuable.
Personalized Training Plan: In a one-on-one setting, I can design a plan that fits your dog’s personality and learning style while tackling the specific challenges you’re facing at home.
Fewer Distractions: Working privately also means we can keep the focus right where it belongs - on you and your dog - so progress often happens more quickly and with less stress.
